How To Install Aluminum fixed mast steps
When installing aluminum fixed mast steps, it is important to choose a spacing that balances cost and comfort.
Research suggests that a spacing of between 375mm and 600mm is ideal. Measure your mast to determine the distance between steps;
a spacing of 50/60cm is typically sufficient.
To begin, plan the positions of the steps, alternating sides of the mast, except for the last ones near the top where it is
better to fit a pair at the same height. Once you've determined the placement of your steps, place the first step in
position and mark the locations for the holes with a pencil. Use a centrepunch to make a permanent mark for each hole.
Next, drill one hole for each step and use one rivet to fix the step in place.
Check that everything is aligned and secure. Once you are satisfied, drill the remaining holes and repeat this process for each step.
By following these steps, your aluminum fixed mast steps will be securely installed and ready for use.
