S 600 Series: Servo-Auxiliary Self-Steering

The S 600 is a high-performance windvane system designed for larger vessels, combining the sensitivity of a servo-pendulum with the power of a dedicated auxiliary rudder.

Core Advantages

  • Mechanical Efficiency: The auxiliary rudder provides maximum leverage for course correction from the stern, allowing the main rudder to be locked to counteract weather helm.

  • Modular Design: The entire servo unit can be removed in seconds. Both the servo and auxiliary rudders feature a lift-up function for easy docking or protection.

  • Compact Integration: A streamlined design that minimizes the increase in the vessel’s overall length (LOA).

  • Flexible Installation: Engineered for versatile mounting, including off-center (offset) positions to accommodate various transom layouts.

  • Adaptability: Fully customizable lengths for the air vane mast, pendulum shaft, and tiller arm to fit each specific boat.

  • Integrated Autopilot Support: Includes a standard pin fitting for Autohelm or Simrad cockpit autopilots on the windvane arm.

  • Advanced Controls: Adjustable vane for light or strong winds, central fixing position, and variable power transmission.

  • Safety & Protection: Built-in overload protection and a swinging rudder system (pm 170 circ).

  • Bearings: High-durability POM sliding bearings; maintenance-free and exceptionally soft-running.

  • Vane: 6 mm high-grade polycarbonate.
